The Itihas of the Mandir
Sarvajanik Shri Sote Wale Baba Hanuman Mandir is nearly 50 years old.
The special contribution of the late Mahant Ramesh Chandra Bajpai Ji is what gave the Mandir its present grand form. At present, the work of beautification and development of the Mandir is being carried out continuously under the guidance of Mahant Nitin Ji Maharaj.
Significance of the Name
Why "Sote Wale Baba"?
The name "Sote Wale Baba" comes from the sota (gada) held in Baba's hand, which is regarded as the symbol of danda, dharma and shakti.
It is believed that this divine form of Baba destroys inauspicious and tamasic forces and resolves the sorrows, fears and crises of devotees. Baba's vigraha is uttarmukhi (north-facing).

Baba's form is extremely tejomay, divine and captivating. Like Lord Shiva, Baba is trinetradhari (three-eyed) — a symbol of his extraordinary and most powerful form.

Uninterrupted Shri Ramcharitmanas akhand path is being conducted by learned brahmin pandits continuously for the past 35 years.
Musical Sundarkand Path
Every Tuesday, Saturday and on special religious occasions, musical Sundarkand path is organised in Baba's darbar.
Trinetradhari, Uttarmukhi
Like Lord Shiva, Baba is three-eyed and the vigraha is north-facing — a symbol of his extraordinary, powerful form.
